Jay Mountain Hike

Jay Mountain  is perhaps one of the best peaks under 4,000 feet in the Adirondacks!
The 1.5 mile-long summit ridge offers a 360-degree view of Lake Champlain, Vermont’s Green Mountains and, of course, the Adirondack High Peaks. The trail to the 3,600-foot summit is only 2.5 miles one way. We will be hiking exposed along an open ridge line for almost an hour. Although there are some steep spots on the way up, almost anyone in relatively decent shape can climb this enjoyably. If you only climb one mountain in your lifetime, this should be it. All the reward of the Adirondacks’ tallest peaks without all the extreme effort. If you have any questions about gear or the hike, feel free to contact us anytime at 518-858-6426.
